Why Soy?
Soy Wax is a completely natural and burns cooler than paraffin wax, therefore increasing the burning time of your candle. Soy wax is non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. Soy wax is an excellent choice for those who wish to burn environmentally friendly candles.

Why Does Soy Wax Make A Superior Candle?
It releases fragrance naturally and for longer. Soy wax candles actually last for 25 - 50 % longer than paraffin candles, making them more economical. Make from an environemntally friendly, renewable resource. Is water soluble. You can wash out your jars with hot, soapy water, which means recycled jars can be reused.

Why is there a black residue around the rim?
Prior to lighting your candle and in-between burns ensure the wick is no longer than 5mm in length, untrimmed wicks will cause smoke and darken the inside of your glass. If there is black residue on the inside of your candle jar, dampen paper towel, wipe clean and throw out used paper towel.

What type of wicks do you use?
Our wicks are engineered in Germany and manufactured in Australia. Our wicks are 100% cotton, lead free and non-toxic.

How do I put my candle out?
The first thing to know is that you should never put the candle out by placing the timber lid on the jar. Blowing the candle out is the obvious option, this may cause a minimal amount of smoking.

Why isn't the whole of the candle melting?
Our candles have two wicks to eliminate this problem. Please ensure you are burning your candle for at least 4 hours or until the whole top layer is liquid wax.

Can I re use my candle glass?
Yes, you can re use your glass candle jar. Clean the jar by using hot, soapy water. Please remember DO NOT pour liquid wax down your drains. The wax will solidify in the pipes and clog your sink.

Do you wholesale candles so I can become a retailer?
Yes, we do offer wholesale rates. If you're interested in becoming a retailer please email us with information on your business. We will contact you shortly with our pricing information and terms.

How quickly will I receive my order?
All orders placed by 9am (AEDT) on a working day will be processed and dispatched from our warehouse on the same day. Orders placed after 9am will be processed the following business day.  If any items in your order are out of stock at the time your order is packed, we will notify you via email and refund you for those items.  

Please note that you can track your order for an Estimated Time of Arrival from Australia Post website http://auspost.com.au/track

You will need to sign for your order when it arrives.  If you are not available to sign for your order, Australia Post will leave a note with instructions for pick up from a designated post office.





Achieving longevity out of your Maisey candle:
It is imperative the first time you burn your Maisey candle to allow at least 4 hours or until the top layer is liquid wax. Outer edges should be an even consistency; this will assist an even burn for the life of your candle.

To get the most out of your candles burn them for 1-4 hours at a time.

Prior to lighting your candle ensure the wick is no longer than 5mm in length, untrimmed wicks will cause smoke and darken the inside of your glass. If you notice there is smoke, simply extinguish, trim wick shorter and re-light.

Burn your candle on a stable heat resistant surface, free from drafts, never leave a lit candle unattended. If desired place your natural timber lid under the glass, this acts as a heat resistant surface.

When finished burning your candle, place the natural timber lid back on the glass, this will ensure you capture the fragrance. Always handle glass with care as the glass may become hot, keep out of reach of children, pets and flammable items.

Maisey candles are delicately poured by hand, therefore 
will have their own unique characteristics. These are considered a feature, not an imperfection. Please note that due to our raw natural ingredients the wax colour varies from fragrance to fragrance. Cease use of your candle when there is 5mm of wax left in your glass jar. Remember to reuse your glass. Your candle should be stored in a cool, dry and dark place. Enjoy your beautiful soy wax candle for up to 40 hours burn time.
